POND SCUM

Did another quick doodle while watching TV with some friends and then colored it up at work. The pic doesn't really make any sense but I wanted to draw a girl and a fish monster. I do like how the colors came out on the monsters underbelly but I'm still trying to figure out my technique for water. Some of my past pictures were more successful in that sense.

I'm officially a Hartman fan! You've managed to combine a comic book feel and an animation feel in your work without leaning too far into one genre [ not that either one is bad but usually one of the two is more predominant for most artists ]. All of these pinups are beautiful! Every single one looks like you really enjoyed the subject and process - and it comes through somehow!

I agree completely, this one seems a bit Cthulhu inspired... It's really inspiring and fun to look at your stuff, it reminds me of why I'm such a horror fan.

I guess you have to get up pretty early in the morning to catch those big ones...

Thanks so much everybody, I really appreciate it. Glad you're digging the art.

And yea, I guess the girl does kind of look like Heather Graham. I didn't notice that. :D
